March 4, 2010

March Freecycle March is here, and that means Spring is on its way! Get a jump on your springtime planting at our Plants and Gardening Freecycle event this Saturday, March 6th - more details are below! The rest of our March calendar is full of fun events, including our celebration of traditional Irish food on St. Patty's Day, World Meatout Day, and a vegan food demonstration with Chef Kelly.

Big news! We won our first national award, a Libby Award from PETA! We were voted Best Independent Restaurant, beating out some top names in vegan dining in the USA. Wow!! The formal press release includes PETA's praise of our restaurant. Each year, PETA recognizes people, businesses, and products that further animal liberation with their annual Libby Awards. We are thrilled and honored to be included as one of this year's award recipients.

We are pleased to announce the gift certificate winners* for March: Amanda Howard has won a $25 gift certificate in the new subscriber drawing, and Darlene Perner has won a $10 gift certificate in the existing subscriber drawing. Congratulations to both, and thank you to all for your continued support of our establishment. (*Drawing rules are available online.)

Thank you for reading, and we look forward to seeing you at the restaurant!

Sincerely,
Laina & Kelly Shockley
Owners, Ethos Vegan Kitchen
