Easter Chicks

Flowers are blooming, raindrops are falling (finally!), and warmer breezes are blowing... Spring is here! Let's hope that this gentle Spring doesn't give way to Florida's bully of a Summer too soon!

Easter Sunday this year falls on Sunday, April 12th. Join us between 10am and 3pm for Easter Sunday Brunch! We'll be decorating the restaurant with spring flowers, and our Brunch special will be French Toast; view the rest of our delicious brunch menu online!

Our Spring calendar is filled with special events - see our calendar below for full details! However, there is one special event we want to make sure you know about - on Saturday, April 25th, we will be vending at the Ivanhoe Village Spring Fling across the street at Gaston Edwards Park on Lake Ivanhoe! Admission to the event is free, and, in addition to food and retail vendor booths, there will be a number of fun activities, including sand volleyball, wake boarding demonstrations, a kids play area, plus live music performances by Thomas Wynn and the Believers, Terri Binion and the Bible Belt Orphans, Shak Nasti, and The Kronics. Hope to see you there!

We are pleased to announce the gift certificate winners* for April: Dana Harchar has won a $25 gift certificate in the new subscriber drawing, and Maria Diestro has won a $10 gift certificate in the existing subscriber drawing. Make sure to get a $3 draft of cold, organic beer on the patio - all proceeds will benefit Rusted Chain!

•Our April charity is the Orlando chapter of Amnesty International, an international organization dedicated to human rights. •April's VBBQ will be held Saturday, April 25th, 2pm-6pm, and will be hosted by Holly Riggs. As usual, we'll be offering a delicious BBQ special, plus $3 drafts of cold, organic beer on the patio. •Visit our food stand at Central Florida Earth Day, which will be held downtown at Lake Eola park on Satutrday, May 2nd, from 10am to 6pm. This festival-style celebration of Earth Day is being put on by the Vegetarians of Central Florida (VegCF), and will include food, live music and entertainment, non-profit and retail vendor booths, environmental education, kids' activities and much, much more! •Our May freecycle will be skipped due to conflict with our participation in the Central Florida Earth Day festival at Lake Eola. Our monthly freecycle will return in June!
