Can you believe it's December already? Just in time for winter, we've added two patio heaters to keep our patio cozy through the chilly evenings ahead, and on most chilly nights, you can warm up with a cup of our hot apple cider, mulled and spiced in our kitchen in the traditional style.
Along with colder weather, holiday joy and madness will soon begin descending upon us all. I've decided I'm putting off the holiday season until December 8th so I can recover my wits after baking all of those pumpkin pies... would you believe our bakery pumped out nearly five dozen pumpkin pies in November? Wow!
But, for those of you who have started already, our holiday guide, below, includes information on Ethos' holiday schedule, new catering options, and even gift ideas! And, once we get into the full swing of holiday cheer, we'll let you know about the delicious food and bakery specials you can look forward to over the holidays!

•Street Parking Update: Thank you to all who took a moment to write the FDOT about removal of the street parking spaces around our restaurant. Due in part to the large number of emails and phone calls received, the FDOT has agreed to meet with us and our neighbors in person in early December to review (and hopefully revise) the plan. While it is unlikely that we will be able to save them all, I am hopeful that we can preserve many of the spots currently slated for removal. We'll keep you posted!

Gifts. This holiday season, give the gift of Ethos! Ethos gift certificates may be purchased in-store or online. Now available at Ethos, give a bag of Jim's Holiday Blend. Besides being delicious, it's fair-trade, organic, shade-grown, and Jim is donating 5% of the purchase price to the Good Samaritan Orphanage in Tanzania. Finally, why not give a dozen of your favorite Ethos cookies? Special orders for cookies by the dozen are now being accepted.
Entertaining. Ethos Party Platters are now available, and just in time to make your holiday entertaining a little easier! Our platters are sure to please your veg and non-veg guests alike. And, guests, why not surprise your host or hostess by bringing a platter, rather than the ubiquitous bottle of wine? And, due to the surprising number of requests we received during Thanksgiving, we are now offering Take-Away Holiday Dinners, available one by one, or for a group. Simply heat and serve! Decorating. Join our December Freecycle, this Saturday, December 6th, from 2pm to 6pm, on our patio. December's theme is holiday décor and supplies: decorations, gift wrappings, tree trimmings, and other holiday supplies. Bring your unwanted items for freecycling, and take any holiday items that catch your eye! The following Saturday, December 13th, also on the patio from 2pm-6pm, join Simple Living Institute's annual Homemade for the Holidays, a hands-on holiday craft gift and decorations workshop.
