WESH 2 / CW18 A-List 2008 Nominated: Best Healthy Lunch in the Orlando area

If you haven't heard, Ethos Vegan Kitchen has been named a contender in the "Healthy Lunch" category for the 2008 A-List, sponsored by WESH-2-TV and CW18-TV. Voting ends this Friday, August 8th, so if you haven't done so, vote now for Ethos and your other favorite independent small businesses across Central Florida. Winners will be announced August 18th, both online and on TV!

Speaking of winners, here are the gift certificate winners* for August: Laurin MacLeish has won a $25 gift certificate in the new subscriber drawing, and Tim Chandler has won a $10 gift certificate in the existing subscriber drawing. »Like our coffee? Great news! Next time you're in you can pick up a 12-oz bag of Jim's Organic Coffee to enjoy at home. Organic, fairly traded, and produced with green power, Jim's coffees are not only delicious, but socially responsible. We'll be cycling through Jim's many varieties, so let us know if you see one you'd like to try. Currently available are Jo Jo's Java and French Vanilla, both available as whole bean or ground.

»Superior Mutts Doggie Rescue, Inc. has been selected for our August 10% Day, scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd. Superior Mutts is dedicated to finding homes for hard-to-place dogs, and also provides support services to other local animal rescues. Founder Chris Murphy is an Ethos regular. To have 10% of your Ethos check donated to the Superior Mutts, simply print the Event Flyer (.pdf) and present it on the 10% Day when placing your order.
